Aaron Cameron

Aaron Cameron is a long time Columbia Valley resident who before becoming a journeyman carpenter, did three years training in engineering and CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting). This technical background helped Aaron develop a very strong skill-set in the construction arena.
Over 15 years, armed with the attitude of “I will tackle any challenging project that nobody else will try”, Aaron rode this steep learning curve to the top of the industry in the valley culminating in a body of work that is the envy of all his competitors and collaborators. Together with a crew of at times 30 talented apprentices and masters, Aaron completed over 1000 projects ranging from majestic curved staircases to elaborate timber roof systems.
One common theme was uncompromising quality and innovation in design ideas and construction techniques.
During the early years (when he had more time), Aaron partnered with a close friend to produce a hiking guidebook for the Invermere area which after selling 15000 copies has become known locally as “the bible”.

Max Fanderl

Max Fanderl graduated from a German construction college and is a licensed German carpenter.
Max immigrated to Canada in 1992 and worked on several custom built homes as a general contractor and successfully completed a 12 unit apartment complex from initial concept through zoning and approvals, to completion.
The passion in Max is his entrepreneurial spirit and love in research of practical construction and passive home concepts which reflects the title of Trappeur Homes – Creating energy efficient and healthy homes.

Throughout this time, Max was very active in aviation, achieving instructor ratings in hang gliding, paragliding and ultralites as well as a private rating in fixed wings and sail planes. Under Max’s tutelage, thousands of happy students have earned their wings. Max also contributed greatly to the vast improvements in safety of the hang gilding and paragliding industries by acting as a test pilot for several manufacturers and governing bodies. In the late 2000′s Max compiled his vast aviation knowledge and skill into 4 successful entries in the world’s toughest adventure race the Red Bull X-Alps.
